H.E. Shri Rajeev Kumar assumed charge as the Ambassador of India to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPR Korea) in the year 2025. A distinguished diplomat of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), he joined the service in 1995 and has served India across multiple regions including East Asia, South Asia and Eurasia. In the course of his diplomatic career, Ambassador Kumar has worked extensively in bilateral negotiations, regional diplomacy, cultural cooperation, as well as multilateral frameworks under the United Nations and other international platforms.
